NEW HAAS ST-10Y WITH AUTO BARFEEDER
We finally reached full capacity with our other turning centers, so we just bought another Haas ST-10Y Turning and Milling Center with Automatic Bar Feeder.
This will allow us to run lights-out for our 2nd and 3rd shift on weekdays, and also allow runtime during the weekends as well. We were becoming pretty bottlenecked on the turning center side and this will greatly help alleviate that issue. This new lathe also has the ability to mill as well as turn, so it will also help alleviate some load-time on your machining centers as well without having to have secondary milling operations.
We are expecting delivery on this on or before September 10th, 2018. We’ll post updates when it rolls in on a low-boy trailer. 🙂
We were just looking at the same Haas lathe, but in the ST-15Y. Can you provide your opinion on the lathe when you get it in? We’re looking at purchasing ours in the fall.

We will be glad to. We are looking forward to the improved integration with the lathe to the bar feeder. This is also our first Mill-Turn lathe from Haas, so wondering how it compares to the Mazak as well.
